And now they come out of the woodwork:
[Elmo puppeteer Kevin] Clash, 52, had been accused by a Pennsylvania man of having a sexual relationship [with him] when the man was 16. Later last week, he recanted, claiming he was an adult at the time, and Sesame [Street] made plans for Clash to return to work.
But today, TMZ.com claimed a second man has accused Clash of initiating a relationship 20 years ago, when the man was 15, and has now sued him for $5 million, claiming he had only recently become aware of ‘adverse psychological and emotional effects’.
‘Recently’ as in ‘after the other guy got $125,000 to go away’?
Nah, couldn't be!

This comes the same day that the previous compensated-recanter has unrecanted. What, not enough money, you think? Maybe PBS and CTW, and perhaps their sponsors, have deeper pockets than you had previously considered?
Whether Mr. Clash likes his toys boyish, I have no way of knowing. But this is a problem faced by many famous (and rich) people: Accusations beget more accusations because the ‘victims’ see their lawyers as lottery-agents. For $125,000, maybe it didn't happen. But when it's $5,000,000 + a book deal….
You are free to make up your own book-titles and jokes involving tickling and various shades of, um, pink. I'm out.
