Taking advantage, this afternoon, of a long drive across town, I flipped the radio through the various news stations and chanced upon these observations on NPR: Aides to Venezuelan ‘president’ Hugo Chavez blame his current life-threatening infection on the United States (!), and they have never specified the type of cancer suffered by their dear leader. I grunted, out loud, ‘Biliary, I'm sure.’
I wonder if this ‘infection’ is anything like Yuri Andropov's head cold…?

Update, 4:30pm: Well, look at that:
President Hugo Chavez, the fiery populist who declared a socialist revolution in Venezuela, crusaded against U.S. influence, and championed a leftist revival across Latin America, died Tuesday at age 58 after a nearly two-year bout with cancer.
Ding, dong! See what a little ill will can do for us? Now if I can just refocus my powers….
